Rebekah “Becky” (Mohr) Brown, age 63 of Tipp City passed away Tuesday, December 29,2009 at her home. Funeral services 11 AM Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the Tipp City United Methodist Church, 8 W. Main St. Visitation 4 to 8 PM on Monday, January 4th at the Church.
Members of the Tipp-Monroe Optimist Club are busy canvassing local businesses for donations to offer during their Twenty-Sixth annual Live TV Auction. The auction is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on February 23, 2010. The live show can be viewed on cable access channel 5 in Tipp City and Monroe township.
Christmas Tree pick-up will occur on Monday, January 4th and Monday, 11th.

I hated history when I was a kid but, truth be told, all of us enjoy history of some kind or another. A walk through our homes might reveal a photo album or a family portrait over the fireplace. Yearbooks, sports memorabilia, college papers, your dog’s paw print in Plaster of Paris, bronzed baby booties or the graduation tassel you still have is the history you enjoy.

As in years past, Tipp’s City Council met for the final time of the year to celebrate and thank departing council members for their contribution to our community as well as to wish the residents of Tipp City a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. The audience for this evenings proceedings included more than sixty residents in addition to the three incoming new council members, Brian Budding, Joe Gibson and Katelyn Black.
