Learn Manufacturing Skills near Dayton
Here are three places to learn skills for work in modern manufacturing: the Miami Valley Career Technical Center, Sinclair Community College, and Butler Tech at their newest campus near Monroe. All of these schools offer financial aid and accept veterans benefits.
The Miami Valley Career Technical Center
The Miami Valley Career Technical Center (MVCTC) has an adult education division. Their programs will help you update your skills to become competitive in the job search process.
They have a new 5-week training session in manufacturing, along with other programs. Find out more at an information session on April 20th, at 6:00 PM. See the center’s website for details.
Sinclair Community College
Sinclair Community College offers short-term and long-term classes through their Workforce Development program. They even fast track students by offering several courses online. You can move quickly through the information you already know, so you can focus on the new information you need to reach your goals.
Sinclair Community College has modern classrooms and training labs with the same kind of equipment you’ll find on the job. And, as reported by 3D Printing News, Sinclair has plans to create a 36,000 square foot Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) in the near future.
Butler Tech has several campuses in Ohio, and they offer adult education in many types of work, including advanced manufacturing. Programs include CNC operator, and drafting with computer aided design (CAD).
Soon, there will be a Butler Tech campus 30 minutes southwest of Dayton, near Monroe. As reported by the Dayton Business Journal, Butler recently bought 36 acres of the old Americana Amusement Park, including two buildings to renovate for adult education classrooms and labs. Butler plans to have the new campus up and running by August 2018.
