Wiley J. and Ruth A. (Hornbeck) Collett are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year.

They were married on Feb. 24, 1962, at the Brush Creek Church of God in Tipp City.

They have four children: Barb and John Byrkett, Ludlow Falls; Bob and Jackie Collett, Vandalia; Ern and Donnett Collett, Brown Summit, N.C.; and Arnold and Sherri Collett, Troy. Between the four kids come 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

An open house celebration is planned for Feb. 18 from 2-5 p.m. at the home of Wiley and Ruth Colllett.

The Ray’s have 7 grandchildren.

Dick was born in Kirkwood, Ill. and Linda Claycomb was born in LaHarpe, Ill where they were married on April 3, 1960.  They retired to Tipp City, Ohio in 1996 following Dick’s retirement from TRW, where he was employed for 38 years. They both are very active at the Tipp City United Methodist Church and in many other area community activities.
