<p><a href="http://tippnews.com/wp-content/uploads/1475465.jpg"><img src="http://tippnews.com/wp-content/uploads/1475465.jpg" alt="" title="1475465" width="175" height="241" class="alignright size-full wp-image-11885" /></a>Rosa Margaretta Hofmann Brenner Wion, 91 of Tipp City passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Belle Manor Nursing Home, New Carlisle, Ohio. Born July 20, 1920 to Wilhelm August and Clara {Hain} Hofmann in Aschaffenburg, Germany. </p>
<p>Rosa’s father left for America in 1928 landing at Ellis Island. He moved to Dayton, Ohio where he was a Barber. Rosa, her Mom and sister Irmgard traveled to Bremenhaven where they caught a ship to America and arrived at Ellis Island on June 25, 1929. They resided in Dayton, Ohio. Rosa started third grade not knowing the English language. She had a very good teacher who helped her learn the language after school. Her favorite subjects were English, Phys. Ed. and Art. She met Robert George Brenner while attending the Parker Co-op program. Robert was learning to be a Tool Maker. He was a football star at Stivers High School, Dayton, Ohio. She married Robert in 1939. </p>
<p>He worked at Frigidaire as a toolmaker. Robert knew Rosa’s love for horses and he bought her the home at Crane Rd., Tipp City, Ohio so she could have her horses. After Robert’s death she married Everett “Sid” Wion. Rose was very active in Eastern Star, Amaranth and a member of the Methodist Church in Tipp City. She loved bowling, painting and riding her horse. She was active in the political poles for years, serving on the Rotary. She tried to visit her homeland (Germany) whenever she could. She visited the Holy Land. She is a lifetime member of the Liederkranz (German organization) in Dayton, Ohio where she sang in the choir. </p>
<p>Rose is preceded in death by her parents , her first husband Robert Brenner, two grandchildren Cheryl and Chuckie Potts, her sister Irmgard Hofmann Canter Horton, her nephew Rick Canter, two step children; Becky and Jeff Wion. Rose is survived by her husband Everett “Sid” Wion, her daughters; Peggy (Bill) Caddell of Cantonment, FL, Rosa Lee (Don) Gilliam of New Carlisle, OH, Bonnie (Joe) Conradi of Chantilly, VA and son Robert (Linda) Brenner Jr. of Farmersville, CA. </p>
<p>Rose is also survived by 11 grandchildren; Clinton Potts, Robin Potts Decanini, Kim Gilliam, Karla Hammonds, Krista Tebbe, Ty Vance Maraney, Kirsta Bebar, Joseph Conradi, Alison McBeth, Sean and Richard Brenner. Rose has 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by her niece Rebecca (Billy) Cauthen of Lancaster, SC, 2 step children; Kim and Kelly Wion. 6 step grandchildren; Andy &#038; Carolyn Heidt, Lesley, Rebecca, Kelsey and Michelle Monce. Funeral service will be held on Friday May 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Tipp City United Methodist Church, 8 W. Main St., Pastor Bonita Wood officiating, burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation 9 to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371 </p>

Watkins, W. Maynard, age 84, of Tipp City, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was born in Tipp City on May 2, 1928 to Walter and Nealie (Davis) Watkins. He graduated from Tippecanoe High School in 1946. He served as a sergeant in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from General Motors after 42 years of service. Maynard was active with the Tipp Senior Citizens, Tippecanoe Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Antioch Shrine, American Legion Post #586 and the VFW in Vandalia. He was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church and retired from the Tipp City Fire Department as a captain after 25 years. Maynard was also instrumental in making the Veterans Memorial in Tipp City a reality. Maynard loved his family, golf and THE Ohio State Buckeyes! Maynard is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ramona (Miller), and four children, Jill (John) Greer of Troy, Bryan (Ellie) Watkins of Hamilton, Kyle (Theresa) Watkins of Columbus, and Greg (Sue) Watkins of Tipp City. He is survived by 6 grandchildren, Brad (Erin) Watkins, Emily Greer, Kevin Greer, Zach Watkins, Jake Watkins, Maddie Watkins, and one great-grandchild, Pace. His sister Judy (Si) Cutcher of Piqua, brother Charles Watkins of Troy, stepbrother Jack (Rosie) Routsong of Florida, and two stepsisters, Dee (Kenny) Krimm and Lola Richey both of Dayton. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dolly Springer, and two brothers, Terry and Bobby Dean Watkins, and a daughter in law, Linda Watkins. Visitation will be Monday, May 7, from 4 – 8 pm at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 West Main St, Tipp City. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Zion Lutheran Church, Tipp City with Pastor Steve Gellatly officiating. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Contributions may be made to Needy Baskets in memory of Maynard.</p>

Born February 11, 1961 in Lancaster, Ohio to Charles and Rosellla {Hutchinson} Martin. Preceded in death by her father and one sister; Connie Foulks. Survived by her mother, her 3 children; Todd and his wife Ana Briggs, Spain, Tiffany and her husband Joshua Doseck, Tipp City, and Tarah Briggs, Columbus, brothers; Chuck Martin, Daniel Poston, Patrick Poston and Raymond Poston, sisters; Sandra Lee , Mary Jo Bachlor, Shirley Curry and Sharon Martin and 3 grandchildren.</p>
<p>RoxAnn was a graduate of Ashland High School. She worked as a medical assistant with American Health Network. She loved the beauty of the ocean, warm weather, and especially the sunshine. <p>Moore, Dorothy Mae “Dottie” 83 of Tipp City passed away Saturday March 3, 2012 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, following a brief illness. Born December 17, 1928 in West Milton, Ohio to Roy and Fairy {Littlejohn} Black. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Wesley Moore and sisters; Lois Hail and Betty Jane Black. She is survived by her sister; Patsy Perry, Tipp City, stepbrother; Bill and his wife Diana Gallagher, Troy and stepsister; Sally Graham, Troy and several nieces and nephews and their families. Dorothy was a secretary for the FBI and Toledo Scales for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Emblem Club in Los Angeles, CA and a member of the Brush Creek Church of God, West Milton. Born September 15, 1945 in Troy, Ohio to the late Robert and Betty {Brooks} Blauser. Survived by his loving wife Aldora {Butcher} Blauser, daughters; Brenda and her husband Richard Alvarez, Troy, Ohio, Kristine and her husband John Scalzi, Bradford, Ohio, , sisters; Karen (Ron) Long, Marysville, Ohio, Barbara Cox, Lebanon, Ohio, Linda (Tom) Louis, Tipp City, Ohio, brother; Bart (Jacoline) Blauser, Tipp City, Ohio and 3 grandchildren; Andrea and Cecilia Alvarez and Athena Scalzi. Michael attended Tippecanoe High School, served his country proudly in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was a brick layer for many years with Rick Stum and Tom Gostomsky and a member of the National Rifle Association. He was an all-around good guy. His grandchildren were very special to him as was his best pal “Sammie”. Service 10:30 AM Thursday February 23, 2012 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371. H. Sr. &#8220;Digger&#8221; age 87 of Tipp City, OH passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at his home after a brief illness. Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Pat (Lewis) Cowan, sons Chuck (Becky) Cowan, Phillipsburg; Mike (Conni) Turben, Columbus: Mark Cowan, Dayton: Jim Turben, Las Vegas; daughter Jo Ann Gabel, Tipp City; sisters Roberta Gates, South Carolina; Janet McDermott, Dayton; Elizabeth Pursley, Lebanon. 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one beloved grandson Daniel Gabel and five brothers. Charlie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church,Tipp City; retired from City of Dayton Street Department after 27 years; volunteer Tipp City EMS, caretaker Maple Hill Cemetery, avid Dayton Dragons fan and Tipp City Sports fan where he could be seen routing on the home team in the stands with a big smile on his face. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, February 22, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church, corner 3rd and Main St, Tipp City. Visitation 5 &#8211; 8 pm Tuesday at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, Tipp City. (April 26, 1924 &#8211; February 8, 2012)</p>
<p>Houdeshell, Eugene R. “Mr. Gene” 87 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Wednesday February 8, 2012 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. Born April 26, 1924 in Indianapolis, IN to Ray and Essie Mae {Wiley} Houdeshell. Preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Donna Arnold. He is survived by his loving wife; Esther Jean {Olinger} Houdeshell, whom he married on June 15, 1946, they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last summer. Also surviving are his daughters; Cindy Watson, Tipp City and Claudia and her husband Philip Koerner, Tipp City, as well as granddaughters; Molly Watson, Tipp City and Katy Watson and her husband Jay Cullis, Covington, Ohio. Gene served in Europe during WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart for his service. He was retired from NCR in 1984 after 37 years and was a member of the 25 Year Club. He had been a very loyal and faithful member of the Tipp City United Methodist Church. He loved sports and was an enthusiastic supporter of Tippecanoe volleyball, basketball and baseball and the Cincinnati Reds. Mr. Gene loved his family, his friends and his church…he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Bruce 50 of Tipp City passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday January 28, 2012. Born June 19, 1961 in Troy, Ohio to Robert and Betty (Lochtefeld) Storck. He is preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his mother, brother; Bill and his wife Sherry Storck, sister; Brenda Storck and daughter; Brianna all of Tipp City, as well as nephews; Scott and Brad Storck and niece; Megan Storck. Bruce was a 1979 graduate of Tippecanoe High School, owner of Storck Heating and Cooling and a former member of the Sons of the American Legion, Tipp City. Memorial Service will be held at Noon on Saturday February 4, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tipp City, Father R. Mark Sherlock officiating. Visitation 10:30 until time of service at Noon at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
