The Tipp City Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Meet the Candidates night on October 15, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at Tipp City Government Center’s Council Chambers, 260 South Garber Drive, Tipp City, Ohio.
The evening provides Tipp City’s business community and residents the opportunity to get to know the City Council candidates by combining 3 distinctive formats into one event. The program combines a formal debate, a town hall meeting and a meet and greet into one event.
During the formal debate, each candidate is randomly provided with one of six questions to answer. After each candidate answers their respective questions the other candidates are provided the opportunity to rebut or elaborate upon the other’s answers.
Following the formal debate the Tipp City Chamber’s moderator will open the questions to the attendees for the event’s town hall portion of the evening. The evening is capped off with light refreshments and the opportunity to meet the candidates during the event’s meet and greet.
The 2013 City Council Candidates, Carrie Arblaster, Katelyn Berbach, Ben Deacon, Joe Gibson, Patrick Hale and Matt Owen, are each running for four (4) available Council positions.
