WEST MILTON – Want to watch a movie, practice your computer skills or read a story? Come to the Milton-Union Public Library this week!
On Monday, the Crafty Listeners gather from 1-2:30 p.m. They listen to an audiobook while working on joint and individual craft projects. Both experienced crafters or those wanting to learn are welcome. They are currently listening to “Mr. Miracle” by Debbie Macomber.
The younger set can enjoy Buddy Reading from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday. Buddy Reading pairs a teen or adult reading mentor with beginning readers to help encourage greater reading ease, enjoyment and comprehension.
On Tuesday, Tiny Tots meets from 1-1:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for children from birth to 3-years-old and their caretakers to hear developmentally appropriate stories, play games, sing songs, and do other activities with children’s librarian Wendy Heisey.
The Milton-Union Public Library Board of Trustees invites the public to their regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
On Wednesday, children’s librarian Wendy Heisey leads two Story Hours – one at 10:30 a.m. and one at 1:30 p.m. Stories, crafts, games and puppet shows, all with the theme of “Ornaments/Tinsel,” are included in the activities for preschool children and their caretakers.
On Saturday, learn Basic Computer Skills and gain more technical confidence with teacher Tina Chaney from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The slot will be a time for questions and answer for individual problems.
Then, it’s family movie time at the Milton-Union Public Library with a special Saturday Showcase screening of “Lego Movie” at 2:30 p.m. Movie watchers are encouraged to bring their own chair or big pillow and enjoy the free popcorn.
