Everyone is invited to “Catch the Reading Bug” at Tipp City Public Library when summer reading club opens on Monday, June 09. Clubs are planned for every age group and each offers a full schedule of events and ways to win great prizes.

It’s so easy to participate. Just visit the library, on or after June 09, and stop at one of the club stations. A friendly volunteer will sign you up for membership, and give you hand-outs with all the details.

CHILDREN’S READING CLUB
Children, preschool through fifth grade, who “Catch the Reading Bug,” can look forward to learning all about bugs from the experts. Throughout the summer, visits are scheduled from entomology students from Ohio State University, representatives from the County Parks Department and the Miami County 4-H Club, and a honeybee expert from the Miami Valley Beekeeper’s Association.
Other events such as Ronald McDonald’s Fun Show, Bug-a-Mania, Books-n-Bingo, Worm Races, and the Creepy Crawler Guessing Game are offered just for the fun of it.
Children who meet the club reading challenge will celebrate, at the end of the summer, with a pizza party featuring Comic/Juggler, Matt Jergens.

TEENS
Older students in grades six through 12 will have a wide selection of entertainment options on their summer reading club schedule. Yoga, origami, papermaking, and henna tattoos are all included.
Teens who finish their reading goal will be invited to an after hours party to include music, DDR/Guitar Hero, and walking tacos.
ADULTS
Adults, as well, can look forward to a varied schedule of events. Noon brown bag topics include a visit to the Netherlands, Studio de Parfum, art appreciation, and the necessity of bees. And, a digital photo contest, “Get Caught Reading” is planned.

PRIZES GALORE
Everyone will have many chances to win prizes this summer. Members in the clubs for youth who meet their reading goal, will receive coupons for free treats all around town. Several readers of the week in all three age groups will also win prizes.
