Gibson Law Offices Opens Fairborn Location

Tipp City, Ohio – City Councilman Joe Gibson of Tipp City has announced that his law practice has opened a satellite office in Fairborn, Ohio. Gibson Law Offices first announced at the Mum Festival Parade that it was expanding its business to include a presence in Fairborn.

The new office is located at 1220 Dayton-Yellow Springs Road in Fairborn, just two doors down from the Industrial Commission’s Dayton Service Office. The Industrial Commission is the agency which conducts administrative hearings on contested Workers’ Compensation claims. Gibson attends hearings on a weekly basis when representing his clients. While current plans call for him to keep his current office as headquarters in Vandalia, Gibson is keeping all his options open. This includes a possible move to Miami County.

Gibson shared, “We will go where the need is and with the opening of our branch office in Fairborn, we will be able to more effectively serve the needs of our clients, and potential new clients who require assistance. Ohio Workers’ Compensation is a complicated area of the law which changes frequently. Many people involved in the system, whether they are injured workers or employers, find out too late that they need to consult an attorney. In many cases it is in the context of a hearing. This move enables us to meet that need.” The Fairborn location replaces his office in Centerville which was closed in favor of a facility closer to where the hearings are.

About Joe Gibson

A former attorney for the BWC, Gibson started his practice out of his house in Tipp City in 1994. It grew rapidly as more clients sought him out and he quickly had to expand. He opened his main office in Vandalia near the BWC’s Dayton Service Office.

Administrative hearings were conducted there for many years until they moved the facility to Fairborn. Gibson still has his main offices headquartered in Vandalia, but spends almost as much time counseling workers and employers at his Fairborn Office between hearings. Gibson does not limit his practice area to administrative hearings. He is also a litigator, and has argued cases before juries, the Court of Appeals, and Supreme Court of Ohio. Gibson is also the Chairman of the Dayton Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation & Social Security Law Committee, and an active member of the Ethics Committee. He is a member of the Tipp City Chamber of Commerce, and Tipp-Monroe Cable Access Commission.

Gibson, a current member of Tipp City ‘s City Council, has resided in Tipp City for over 17 years with his wife Sonia and their two children, Diana and Sarah. He has not ruled out opening an office in Miami County, including either Tipp City, or Troy. He plans on an open house for this location in the spring.
