“Milton-Union High School set the bar high for schools its size,” stated the chairperson of the North Central Accreditation Review team. After many weeks of collecting and organizing data around the seven required standards, the external Quality Assurance Review team visited the high school, critiquing goals and corresponding plans of action. After interviewing individual groups of teachers, students and parents, the team visited classrooms to obtain actual proof of the work.
Not only did the high school meet the requirements for accreditation, it was also nominated by the external team to the AdvancED Resource Network for best Peer-to-Peer Practice. Nick Weldy, former assistant high school principal at Milton-Union and a member of the external team, stated “I can’t believe how far you’ve come in 2 1/2 years!”
