Kindergarten classes from Nevin Coppock recently expanded their classroom studies of farm animals with a visit to Aullwood Farms.  According to kindergarten teacher, Alexa Vagedes, their curriculum has included identification of farm animals, discussions about the goods produced by animals, food groups and also environmental care.
The children wore farm-animal hats during a presentation by Aullwood staff, witnessed the daily routines of farm life, disscussed the roles of the animals on the farm and, according to Vagedes, were thrilled to pet the baby goats. This is the second annual kindergarten trip to Aullwood Farms.
