Tipp City Council Selects John Crusey for City Manager

The Tipp City Council announced on Monday, May 12th, its decision to appoint John Crusey as the new City Manager, replacing David Collinsworth, who served as manager for ten years before accepting the position as manager for Westerville, Ohio.

Crusey will assume the role as Tipp City’s new Manager in mid June. Mr. Crusey is currently the Administrator for the Village of Groveport, Ohio.

“I am very excited to become Tipp City’s next City Manager,” said Crusey. “Tipp City has a reputation for being a well managed community with a rich history of excellent city managers; I hope to carry on that tradition.

“I look forward to my family and I becoming a part of the Tipp City community.”

Mr. Crusey will inherit a highly acclaimed team of department heads that includes Brad Vath, Dick Drennen, Mo Eichman, Scott Vagedes, Police Chief Tom Davidson, Fire Chief Steve Kessler and EMS Chief Mark Senseman.

Crusey has served as the chief administrative officer for the Village of Groveport since April of 2005. He has over 18 years of city government experience.
