The January 19th meeting of the Downtown Tipp City Partnership welcomed local resident Logan Rogers as Board President who called the meeting to order.
On the agenda was the installation of new officers, a few amendments to the bylaws and the implementation of an advisory board.
Joining the board in 2010 are Cara King for a 3 year term and Liz Sonnanstine who will complete the remaining year of the post vacated by Mark Mabelitini. Also joining the board in an official capacity are Carli Dean from TMCS, Katelyn Black from City Council and Tony Greene from the Tipp City Area Chamber of Commerce. These feeder organizations provide needed oversight and leadership to help fuel Partnership activities and goal setting.
Committee Chairs for the year will be Reed Spencer: Organizational, Kevin Guigou: Design, Liz Sonnanstine: Promotions, and an Economic Development lead to be named later.
Partnership Director, Matt Owen updated the Board and newly installed officers of the Partnership Appreciation Dinner on February 4th at Harrison’s from 6:30PM-8:30PM. This is a fantastic event held each year to celebrate the many events and operational successes that the Partnership worked toward during the year as well as to thank the outgoing board members for their service to their community. The new Tipp City Downtown Partnership board members as well as old have a strategic planning session scheduled for Sat., Feb. 13th from 8AM-Noon at the Tipp City Library. Information about the Downtown Tipp City Partnership can be found on their website at http://dtcp.org
