The speaker at the Tipp City Club Rotary meeting on May 23rd, 2012 was retired Sgt. Ron Re representing the Veterans Memorial Committee. Various photos of the sculptor’s work were shown as Ron talked about the bronze statue which the Committee would like to place in the Veterans Memorial Park at Main and Hyatt Streets. The Committee is currently having a donation drive for funds to cover the cost. The plan has been approved by the City and the Parks Board. Anyone wishing to make a tax deductible donation should make their checkout to Tipp Monroe Community Services with a memo on it that it is for the Veterans Memorial. Pictured are Ron Re and Program Chairperson Bryan Stewart (left).
