The Tipp City Rotary Club was challenged to join all of the local Rotary Clubs in Ohio during February in providing food for local food pantries. Each month there are 140,000 requests for food assistance from local pantries in Ohio. 57% of those requests involve people who must choose between food and utilities, while thirty six percent of those helped are children. The Tipp City Rotary Club members presented a check for $450 to the two local pantries in Tipp City, Need Baskets and the Miami County Emergency Food Pantry.

The pantries were allowed to purchase items which they needed most. Those items were then brought to the club as a demonstration of what their collective giving was able to accomplish. Representing Needy Baskets were Director Jim Brenner and John Summers.

Representing the Miami County Food Pantry were Jim Brown and Brett Warkentine. Bradley Warkentine is President-elect of the Tipp City Rotary Club.
