6 JULY 2017, TIPP CITY Tippapalooza, the Tipp City music festival featuring local talent, has announced their 2017 event date, talent line up, and proceeds recipient.

The annual event is in its sixth year and is known for not only providing the area with a great night of entertainment but benefitting the Tipp community. Tippapalooza was created by a group of friends and musicians with the desire to play music, promote local talent, and benefit local charities. This lead to the idea of a music festival and Tippapalooza was born. The proceeds from this event will be returned to the community through a donation to the Tipp Pride Association.

The Tipp Pride Association has taken up the challenge of raising the funds to build a new stadium to replace the out of date, an unsafe structure that has served the school and community for over 70 years. Their goal is to raise $5.6 million through stadium naming rights, sponsorships, donations, and fundraising events. Besides adding value and pride to the Tipp community, a new stadium means safer playing surface for athletes, safer facilities for guests and patrons, and opportunities to host a wider variety of community, athletic, and school events.

This year’s Tippapalooza will be held on Saturday, September 2nd, from 5-11PM. The gate opens at 5 PM, music starts at 5:30 PM. It will again be held at the Tipp City Eagles Park, 3853 Hyattsville Road, Tipp City, across from Tippecanoe High School.

This year’s event is being sponsored by the Tipp City Area Arts Council, along with support from the Tipp City Eagles, Bishko Automotive Literature, and Dysinger & Patry LLC.
