Director, Carol Netzley Coate and Board of Trustee members Robert “Jim” Kinnison, and Marvin Rue traveled to the Ohio Statehouse on February 15th to accept a Resolution honoring the Milton-Union Public Library on its 75th Anniversary. The trio joined Rep. Richard Adams, the resolution’s sponsor, and Speaker William Batchelder, at the House podium to receive the commendation. The Director’s deceased father, former Rep. Robert E. Netzley, was a staunch supporter of state funding of Ohio public libraries, and Rep. Adams praised libraries, and the Milton-Union Public Library, for their support in educating and promoting literacy in Ohio citizens. Ms Coate thanked the House members for their support to Ohio libraries, and indicated her pleasure in greeting her father’s friends, Speaker Batchelder and Rep. Jim Buchy. An Open House at the West Milton library will be held April 21, from 10:00am to 4:00pm, with a special program at 2:00pm. Guest speakers are to include; the Hon.
