TIPP CITY, Ohio Oct. 15, 2015 (TippNews DAILY) – Tipp City residents and local press received notice today of Carrie Arblaster’s 5 Points of Vision that accompany her November 3rd bid for City Council. Being the first candidate for Council to announce such plans, Arblaster detailed her vision for the City as well as how experience helps her to tackle some of the more challenging aspects of her plan.

Arblaster’s 5 Points of Vision consist of the following:

  • Sustainable Growth
  • Collaboration
  • Preservation
  • Public Safety
  • Public Parks

When asked about how growth occurs in Tipp City, Arblaster shared, “Growth is happening in Tipp City but we don’t have to let it happen to us. Growth is a product of other people and businesses finding out how amazing our little town is, however when we grow and how we grow are all things we can control. As an elected member of City Council, I will work to ensure our growth is strategic and able to be maintained for years to come.”

As a dedicated resident and mother of three, Carrie Arblaster expounded on how growth became a product of our collaboration, “it’s the strength of our community lies in our ability to work together.  We have numerous entities in Tipp City that are all working to better our community. From the City Council to the Board of Education, key philanthropic organizations such as The Tipp Foundation, private businesses (large and small) and business minded organizations such as The Downtown Tipp Partnership and The Tipp City Chamber of Commerce, all are focused on the success of Tipp City.”

It’s this collaboration between organizations and people that not only established Tipp City, but continue to pour time and treasure into making it a great place to live, work and play.

On the topic of preservation, Arblaster had this to share, ”Despite the effects from the massive economic recession, City Council along with voters chose to make an investment in our infrastructure.  Thanks to this foresight and resolve we enjoy a strong Fire/EMS and Police departments and are seeing record road re-pavements throughout town.”

On the topic of public safety, Carrie Arblaster warns that if left unchecked, the troubles with heroin and the associated crime and violent acts will only grow. “I had the honor of doing a ride-along with one of our police sergeants. Learning firsthand about the drug and criminal activity they have to deal with made a significant impression on me.  Their burden is great, but they do it with a true sense of duty. When elected, I will do my best to make sure our officers have what they need to combat crime in our town.”

Finally, Arblaster dealt with the challenge of having expansive city and neighborhood parks. While Tipp City is often recognized for having the foresight to ensure adequate greenspace for its businesses and residential communities, this blessing doesn’t come without its challenges.

“Like our roads and sidewalks, this soft-infrastructure asset (our parks) is important to preserve. When elected to Tipp City Council I will work with staff to develop a plan beyond basic maintenance,” shared Arblaster.

Local elections are slated for November 3rd. Tipp City residents can find out more about Carrie Arblaster by visiting her Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CarrieArblaster
