Autumn in Miami County is a wonderful season to enjoy outdoor festivals and events, with its warm days and cool evenings providing the perfect setting for a leisurely stroll. Miami County has a fantastic lineup of fall events that offer a unique experience. You can enjoy historical re-enactments, festivals, and outdoor music performances by top local bands, and witness a gathering of 100 WACO biplanes. We’ve picked out eight of our favorite events that you should definitely check out this fall in Miami County. Tour De Donut: The Sweetest Ride in Ohio

Love biking? Love donuts? Look no further. Come to downtown Troy Saturday, August 26th for the Tour de Donut, The Sweetest Ride in Ohio! The Tour de Donut is a unique bicycle event where your ability to eat donuts is just as important as your ability to ride. The event is a mass start timed ride where riders visit stops along the way to eat donuts. For each donut the rider eats (and keeps down) during the ride, 5 Minutes are taken off their final time. Berries Rock

Berries Rock! The Troy Strawberry Festival is back and better than ever for its first festival since 2019. Located along the banks of the Great Miami River and through downtown Troy, this weekend-long festival will take place Saturday, June 3rd, 10:00am-9:00pm, and Sunday, June 4th, 10:00am-6:00pm. The festival includes over 100 arts and crafts vendors, great food, entertainment, and of course lots of strawberries. There is something for everyone to enjoy! Piqua–  The Piqua Community Farmers Market is held weekly on Thursdays from 3pm-6pm rain or shine. Miami County Courthouse: A Brief History

Construction of the Miami County Courthouse began in 1885 and was completed in 1888. Joesph Yost of Columbus, Ohio was the architect who designed this building. Statues placed at the top of the Courthouse represent what was most important to Miami County in 1888. The statue of Lady Justice at the top of the Miami County Courthouse dome carries the sword of truth and scales of justice…always balanced. National Beer Day in the United States is celebrated every year on April 7th which commemorates the Cullen–Harrison Act’s passage. This act allowed for the sale of beer with a content of 3.2 % alcohol. Upon signing the legislation, President Franklin D.
