Bill Beagle Endorsed by Miami County GOP

With 254 votes in the affirmative, Miami County Republicans pledged their support for Tipp City resident Bill Beagle in his run for Ohio Senate 5th District seat, currently held by Fred Strahorn.

This afternoon, Beagle addressed nearly 500 delegates from all over Miami County speaking about the alarming condition that our country is in as well as recalling how historical figures such as Ronald Reagan pulled the country back from the abyss of inflation and economic unrest.

US Representative John Boehner who was scheduled to address the Convention had to do so via a video teleconference bridge. Boehner stated that he stayed in Washington to fight the President and Nancy Pelosi as they try to sneak in the healthcare reform bill on all Americans. During the sometimes garbled Internet transmission, Boehner wished the Miami County Republicans well, and shared how pleased he was to have such a unique event (The Convention) occur in his District.

Mike Dewine is running uncontested in November against Richard Cordray for State Attorney General. Dewine announced today that if the healthcare bill is indeed passed tonight, he will demand that Ohio Attorney General Cordray sue the Federal Government as Dewine believes that the demand within the bill for every Ohioan to afford healthcare, is unconstitutional. Dewine’s “red-meat” comments met agreement from GOP delegates who returned cheers and whoops of support.

The Convention provided the candidates with contested races to rally support and press flesh with voters and delegates who were hand selected from each voting district in Miami County.
