Bruns General Contracting began working with the members of the St. Mina & St. Abanoub Coptic Orthodox Church 12 months ago. The goal was to build a new worship facility on the same site as their existing church. Bruns Building for Ministries assisted St. Mina & St. Abanoub Building Committee by developing architectural plans that would fit their building site, their needs and their budget. Bruns General Contracting constructed the brick multi-level facility on a hillside which accomodated all of the clients needs.
Highlights of the 12,000 square foot structure include: barrel vaulted sanctuary, translucent dome above the altar which allows sunlight to filter through, imported marble and granite flooring, marble iconostasis which immortilizes images of saints and marble baptistry area. The structure also houses a warming kitchen, classroom areas and gathering hall.
