TIPP CITY, Ohio (January 29, 2011) – The Downtown Tipp City Partnership (DTCP) held their 4th Annual Appreciation Dinner at Harrison’s Restaurant on Thursday, January 27. The evening started with a DTCP Social that was open to all in the community to kick-off the 2011 Member Campaign and was followed by dinner with awards and recognition.
During the Dinner, several individuals were honored for their commitment to the Board and to downtown Tipp City. Logan Rogers honored for his position as the outgoing Board president. Liz Sonnanstine received recognition as an outgoing Board member after completing her term in 2010. The prestigious William Henry Harrison Award that recognizes an outstanding volunteer in the community was presented to Terri Bessler, owner Midwest Memories.
A special legacy award was presented to Mose Wampler for his commitment to Tipp City by raising over $700 in the DTCP Dunk Tank fundraiser. Mr. Wampler has shown a life-long commitment to Tipp City and has set a great example of the passion so many people have for this community.
Mayor Dee Gillis installed the new DTCP Board members for 2011, including President Sue Rambeau. The New Board of Directors includes: Sue Rambeau, President, Cara King, Secretary, Reed Spencer, Treasurer, Kelley Andary, Terri Bessler, Katelyn Black, Jon Crusey, Kevin Guigou, Logan Rogers, Robin Shafer, Kathy Taylor and Jim Valekis.
The Downtown Tipp City Partnership is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and members of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and Heritage Ohio with the mission to enhance, preserve, and promote downtown Tipp City. The DTCP meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, 9 a.m. at Tipp Monroe Community Services. Meetings are open to the public.
