Grinch Steals Trees from Downtown Planters

Saturday morning local merchants and residents awoke to find two of the downtown planters defaced, and their evergreen trees stolen. The planters involved in this crime were located in front of Harrison’s and Community Services.

The downtown planters were recently placed there in a joint effort between Tipp City’s America in Bloom committee, the Tipp City Rotary, and Spring Hill Nursery in order to help beautify the downtown. This project was the first of its kind in the downtown.

Spring Hill product manager, Craig Harmer had this to say, “I am disheartened that anything like this could happen in Tipp City. A lot of people donated time and money to put those planters in the down town area.”

If anyone has information about the crime, please contact the Tipp City Police Department as a police report was issued. There was no immediate value placed on the loss of the droopy evergreen, topiary spruce tree or wreath.
