Happening this Week at the Milton-Union Public Library – Nov. 3 – 8



Belle’s back! This week Buddy Readers can enjoy “Buddy Reading” with the canine Beagle Belle at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3. Buddy Reading pairs a teen or adult reading mentor with beginning readers to help encourage greater reading ease, enjoyment and comprehension.

Also happening this week is the Crafty Listeners gathering from 1-2:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3.They listen to an audiobook while working on joint and individual craft projects. Both experienced crafters or those wanting to learn are welcome.

Experience Just-a-Little-Inspiration with the monthly inspirational fiction book group discussion at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4. This month the group is discussing the Christian suspense novel “Over the Edge” by Brandilyn Collins.

Try some old-school gaming at the Teen Game Night 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Ages 12 and up can play the provided board games or bring your own. And of course, snacks will be offered.

Also on Tuesday, Tiny Tots meets from 1-1:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for children from birth to 3-years-old and their caretakers to hear developmentally appropriate stories, play games, sing songs, and do other activities with children’s librarian Wendy Heisey.

On Wednesday, Nov. 5, Heisey leads two Story Hours – one at 10:30 a.m. and one at 1:30 p.m. Stories, crafts, games and puppet shows are included in the activities for preschool children and their caretakers. This week the theme is “Leaves/Autumn.”

On Thursday, Nov. 6, the New Friends of the Milton-Union Public Library will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m.
