On the last weekend of April, 27 students at Milton-Union High School presented the production of “Happy Days,” a musical production of the popular 1950’s TV show. The play occurred on April 28, 29, and 30 at 7:00 p.m. each night. The group performed for an audience of somewhere between 200 to 350 members each night.

The cast consisted of four freshmen, six sophomores, six juniors, and eleven seniors, as well as a hard working stage crew of two seniors and one freshman. The performing group was directed by Marsha Fishbach, who was assisted by choreographer Nicole Chilcote, vocal and combo director Carol Palmer, as well as staging director Cathy Hemmerle.

Lead roles were performed by Dustin Miracle as Arthur Fonzarelli, Alyssa Lightcap as Pinky Tuscadero, Kyle Fullmer as Richie Cunningham, Brianna Bull as Joanie Cunningham, Derrick Lucous as Howard Cunningham, Kristen Dohner as Marion Cunningham, Gerret Hayslip as Arnold Delvechio, Brett Weaver as Ralph Malph, Austin Dickison as Potsie Webber, Clay Hill as Chachi Arcola, Grace Jackson as Lori Beth, Jessica Finfrock and Jessica Ogden as the Pinkettes, Noah Barth and Kenton Dickison as the Malachi Brothers, Logan Lightcap as Elvis Presley, as well as chorus members Cheyenne Weaver, Katelin Nealeigh, Katie Herald, Kirsten August, Abby August, Emily Benkert, VeraKaye Sowers, Christy Alway, and Sarah Black.

The cast began practicing in early January and held multiple practices a week up until the night of the performance, which was held in the Milton-Union High School Gymnasium.

“It was an awesome musical to end my High School career with,” commented senior Dustin Miracle. “I enjoyed spending time with the cast and directors, and I was pleased to see how well the performance came together.”

Overall, the play proved to be a huge success for the participants, as well as providing the audience with a pleasing and enjoyable performance.
