National Beer Day in the United States is celebrated every year on April 7th which commemorates the Cullen–Harrison Act’s passage. This act allowed for the sale of beer with a content of 3.2 % alcohol. Upon signing the legislation, President Franklin D. Roosevelt made his famous remark, “I think this would be a good time for a beer.”

A DORA is a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area, which allows visitors age 21 and older to purchase an alcoholic beverage from an approved and liquor-permitted establishment, then stroll and shop within the DORA boundaries.
Tipp City was the first city in Miami County to designate much of its downtown as a DORA.
