Art—in all forms—is integral to the overall learning of children. We try to help the students with a “bigger picture” kind of thinking. Drawings, paintings, sculptures, music, dancing, and play-acting encourages student to think outside the box, problem-solve creatively, and generate unique ideas. Art helps the children take risks and attempt art forms that foster and nurture these skills.
As the families view the art projects throughout the Gallery on Thursday evening, May 8, the staff challenges them to see the connection of their child’s artwork and other lessons learned. Some examples include reading learned through nursery rhymes, science viewed through butterflies, and self-discovery through constructing special Stars). Appreciate Art. Enjoy the Discovery.
