Journalist and novelist Debra Gaskill to visit Tipp City Public Library

Journalist and novelist, Debra Gaskill will visit Tipp City Public Library at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27.

Ms. Gaskill published her first novel, Barn Burner, late last year. She is also the managing editor of the Washington Court House Record Herald.

Barn Burner is the first book in a projected mystery series featuring reporter/sleuth Addison McIntyre, and it is set in the fictional Ohio town of Jubilant Falls. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.

The author’s visit coincides with the monthly meeting of the Tipp City Library Scribes, and she has agreed to spend some time with the writers’ group. Everyone is welcome.

PROGRAMS FOR OLDER STUDENTS

The next program for fourth and fifth graders is called “Bread” and it is set for 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Participants will learn about this most basic food when they make bread in a bag, create art with bread, and taste test many different kinds of bread. Registration is required.

Art and Crafts Club

The Art and Crafts Club for grades four and up will meet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25. Members will make Artist Trading Cards, and plan a card swap. Registration is required.
