Koenig Seeks Rezoning to Locate Retail Center

From the Dayton Daily News website:

TIPP CITY — Koenig Equipment Inc. has its eye on four acres at County Road 25A and Blauser Drive for a new John Deere lawn and garden equipment retail and maintenance center. The more than 100-year -old company started in Botkins as Botkins Hardware and grew into Koenig Equipment.

The business also sells farm equipment at some of its locations in Ohio and Indiana, but would not have that line in Tipp City, the Tipp City Planning Board was told Tuesday, Dec. 9. Among other Koenig locations in the area are Greenville, Anna, Botkins, Vandalia, Urbana, Oxford and Germantown.

Before the Tipp City facility, estimated by company president Ray Koenig at around 16,000 square feet can be built, the property needs to be rezoned from office-service to light industrial.
