Library Announces Summer Reading and First Grade Visit

Children's Services Specialist, Julie Smith and Youth Services Specialist, Beth Weaver perform a short skit for first graders. The students attended a special program all about the Make a Splash Summer Reading Club, due to open Monday, June 07.

Summer Reading Club at Tipp City Public Library is all about Making a Big Splash, and opening day on Monday, June 07 is no exception.

If possible, come in on opening day to sign up. Children and teens who register that first day will have their names entered in prize drawings to win one of two gift baskets filled with summer fun stuff such as gift certificates, movies, popcorn, candy, and games.

Also on opening day, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the library will host representatives from the Newport Aquarium. These marine life experts will share their knowledge of sharks, and let audience members look at shark teeth and skin.

Of course, if you aren’t able to get in to sign up on opening day, don’t worry because summer reading club continues through the next two months. Just be sure not to wait too long. Summer at Tipp City Public Library is packed full of great activities, interesting programs, games, and more prize give-aways.
