Library News – 6/4/2008

Holland, yoga, and bingo are subjects for fun and adventure as Tipp City Public Library begins the second week of summer reading club.

BROWN BAG TO HOLLAND
The adults’ brown bag lunch series opens with a slideshow travelogue to Holland. Adult Services Librarian, Carolyn Rector recently visited this beautiful country, and she will share much of what she learned at her program at noon on Tuesday, June 17. She will also discuss some of the insights gained from her experience of visiting abroad, and offer tips to help prepare anyone for safer, less frustrating travels. Bring your lunch, and the library will provide bottled water. Registration is requested.

FAMILY BINGO
Bring the whole family to a bingo night like you’ve never seen. This evening of laughter includes prizes for the winners, but no one will go home empty-handed. It’s set for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17.
Registration is required.

YOGA FOR TEENS
“Shift Your Spirit: YOGA” will be available to teens through their summer reading club for grades six and up, Metamorphosis @ Your Library. Four yoga sessions are planned, with the first one is set for Saturday, June 21 at 11 a.m. Young Adult Library Specialist, Bethany Weaver-Culpepper will lead the class. Registration is appreciated.

TRUSTEES AT WORK
The Trustees’ Finance and Audit Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, and the Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 26.
