Congratulations to the 460 youth who completed Tipp City Public Library’s summer reading club. In case you haven’t visited the library since summer club ended on August 4, make sure you do so soon, because there is a prize packet for each of you.
That packet is filled with coupons for free and discounted prizes from area businesses. As they do each year, businesses such as Cairn’s Collectibles, Foodtown, Dairy Queen, Fazoli’s, and many others provide these incentives as a way of supporting the library’s effort to keep kids reading through the summer months.
To receive the coupon packets, children in fifth grade and younger were required to read 15 books, and older students had to read ten. This year Tipp youth reported reading 13,807 books. Way to go.
