Stars, metamorphosis, and rock and roll are all part of the mix for upcoming programs and events at Tipp City Public Library.
Don’t miss “The Solar System and Beyond” presented by Jack Geis, astronomy staff member at Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. Mr. Geis has prepared a visual presentation to inspire a sense of wonder about the worlds in our solar system and even farther points in the heavens. It’s set for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19.
Registration is required. Call 667-3826 or visit at 11 E. Main St.

ATTENTION TEENS
Young people with a talent for design are encouraged to create an original poster to illustrate the library’s 2008 Summer Reading Club theme. The teen submitting the winning design will receive a $50 cash award, a poster size reproduction of their artwork, and the design will appear on teen summer reading club materials. Runner-up prizes of $25 and $10 will also be awarded.
Teens are challenged to work with the theme of “Metamorphosis @ your library”. However, they should not include the theme title in the design. It will be added later by the library staff. The media to be used is wide open, but the design must be submitted to the library on 11 x 14 paper and the deadline is Friday, March 07. Winners will be notified on Saturday, March 22.
Stop by the library today, and pick up an entry form with other guidelines and contest rules. An entry form must be submitted with each design, and please, only one entry per teen. For more information, contact Missy Naseman-Smith at the library. This poster contest is sponsored by the Tipp City Library Teen Action Group.
