To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Miami County Foundation, Tipp City Area Arts Council (TCAAC) was selected to receive a $1,000 Celebration Grant.  The grant will offset expenses of a free community concert during the Canal Music Fest which will take place from 4 to 8 p.m., June 12 at Canal Lock Park in Tipp City.

The grant was presented to TCAAC recently during an evening coffee event in Tipp City where about 40 community members gathered to learn more about the work of the Foundation in Tipp City and Bethel Township communities.

“The motto People Helping People, adopted by founder Richard Hunt, is clear by this grant and the many other grants and scholarships given to our local organizations, schools and residents,” exclaimed Joe Duncan, President of the Miami County Foundation Board of Directors.  “The Foundation has awarded more than $3.5 million dollars since first established in 1985.”

The mission of the Miami County Foundation is to assist, encourage and promote the health, education and welfare of the citizens of Miami County, by soliciting, receiving and administering assets exclusively for the charitable needs of the community.  For more information go online www.miamicountyfoundation.org or call 937-773-9012.
