Richard N. Adams, Miami County Republican Central Committee Chairman, announced today the schedule for appointing a person to complete the term of Ron Widener as Miami County Commissioner. Ron Widener retired March 31, 2011.
By Ohio law, because Ron Widener is a Republican, the Miami County Republican Central Committee is given the authority to appoint a person for the remainder of the term expiring in early January 2013. By Ohio law this meeting shall take place between the 5th and 45th day of the vacancy.
The Central Committee meeting will be held on May 9, 2011 at 6:30 pm in the Miami County Commission hearing room.
Interested candidates must submit a letter of candidacy and resume to the Miami County Republican Party, PO Box 662, Troy Ohio 45373. The letter must be postmarked by May 6, 2011.
The interested candidates will appear in front of the Miami County Republican Central Committee on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. where the selection will be made.
