You are invited to attend the Milton-Union Education Foundation’s 17th annual “Pot-of-Gold” Fundraiser
Breakfast on March 16, 2012, at 7:15 a.m. at the Milton-Union Senior Citizens Center, 435 W. Hamilton Street,
West Milton, OH.
Do you like to reminisce about the “good ole days”? You will have an opportunity to learn about “Milton
Memories”, an ongoing project, which is coordinated by Barbara Tinnerman-Cecil and Susie Spitler. Memories
of villages, schools, and organizations in Union Township are being preserved with oral history tapings. These
tapings showcase residents of West Milton, Laura, Ludlow Falls, Potsdam, Garland, Pattytown, Kessler and
Frederick, as well as Milton-Union Schools’ alumni, as they relay humorous stories and interesting facts about
growing up in their respective communities. Milton-Union Schools graduates Bob Johnston and Mark Hamler
will be featured speakers at the breakfast.
The Milton-Union Education Foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt endowment fund with a mission to
provide funds/grants to faculty, students and employees for the creation of, or participation in, enrichment
programs in the Milton-Union School District that are not normally funded by the school district. The
foundation is funded through tax deductible contributions from individuals, families, and businesses who
wish to support the foundation’s activities. In recent years, these funds have provided grants to teachers in
the elementary, middle and high school for programs, supplies and materials that have benefited hundreds

Stage”, the Milton-Union High School Show Choir.
This year’s grant recipients will be recognized and include the following staff members: Katrina Yungmann
and Brett Barnes (Milton-Union Middle School – $500); Carol Bellas (Milton-Union Elementary School –
$364); Barb Peck (Milton-Union Middle School – $750); Charlotte Kramer (Milton-Union Elementary School
– $637.50); Karen Yount (Milton-Union Elementary School – $300); Lara Limbert (Milton-Union Elementary
School – $538); Jaimee Garbig and Megan Rethman (Milton-Union Middle School – $238); Kellie Mahaney
(Milton-Union Middle/High Schools – $800); Lynne Busse (Milton-Union Elementary School – $570.35); Linnette
Vagedes (Community Picture Project – $6,000); Kelly Strick and Heather Galentine (Milton-Union Middle
School – $750).
A $25 donation is asked to attend the breakfast and you may bring a guest for free. If you would like to make
