Children, teens and adults are urged to continue reading through July because there is still enough time to finish and turn in their first or second reading logs at the Milton-Union Public Library.
Children who finish will get a free book, a beanie toy and an invitation to the carnival on Wednesday, July 27. Teens will receive Subway coupons and adults will receive gift certificates for a free book at the September New Friends of the Library book sale.
This year’s grand prizes have ALL been donated by various organizations or community members. The children’s club, “One World Many Stories,” will be offering 10 grand prize packets, some of which will include tickets to the Ohio Caverns, The Newport Aquarium, the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, the Neil Armstrong Air & Space Museum and Dayton Dragons mascot bobble-head dolls.
The teen program, “You Are Here,” has three grand prize packs up for grabs which include a $20 gift certificate to Curry’s Video Plus, tickets to King’s Island and passes to the Cincinnati Museu Center, a family membership to the Dayton Art Institute and a Dayton Dragons ball cap.
Three grand prize bundles for the adult program, “Novel Destinations,” will include tickets to the Dayton Ballet and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, an autographed 8 x 10 photo of Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, a $25 gift certificate to Lowe’s, a Lake Erie Island Hopping Cruise for two and a Dayton Dragons beach towel.
