Oak Hill High School senior recipient of Energy Award

Tipp City, Ohio (June 19, 2014) — Sara Stacy, a member of the 2014 Oak Hill High School graduating class, was named the recipient of a $1,000 Youth Energy Leadership Award from Energy Optimizers, USA, a Tipp City-based energy management company.

Energy Optimizers, USA grants a Youth Energy Leadership Award to up to two students in all of its partner districts. Recipients must show attributes of leadership and have plans to pursue further education at a college or technical school, preferably in a STEM field.

Stacy intends to major in Engineering at Ohio State University. She has been accepted into the OSU Honors Program and the OSU Women in Engineering Learning Community.

“Sara is an outstanding student with a bright future, and we are pleased to support her goal to become an engineer,” said Greg Smith, president of Energy Optimizers, USA.

At Oak Hill High School, Stacy attended the Post-Secondary Option Program at the University of Rio Grande and maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout her high school career. A member of the National Honor Society, Stacy graduated with an Honors Diploma.

Energy Optimizers, USA, has made a commitment to help Oak Hill Union Local Schools reduce its utility costs. In the span of just one year, the district has saved $156,902 through the strategic application of energy conservation measures that were recommended by Energy Optimizers, USA.
