Cleo Leanna {Wampler} Puterbaugh

Cleo Leanna Wampler Puterbaugh, age 101, of Tipp City , Ohio passed away peacefully Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the SpringMeade HealthCenter. She was born July 15, 1909 in Darke County , Ohio to Joe and Vesta (Kemp) Cline. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Philip Ward (P.W.) Wampler (1958) and husband Dr. E. G. Puterbaugh (1977), as well as her six siblings and step son, Melvin Puterbaugh.
She is survived by her six children, Phil Wampler and wife Pat of Tipp City, Richard Wampler and wife Joan of Phoenix, Arizona, June and husband Jim Kyle of Tipp City, Edward (Mose) and wife Judy of Tipp City, Kay and husband Gary Snyder of Tipp City, Sam and wife Beth Wampler of Sugar Grove, Ohio, and stepdaughters Geneva Day and Alice and husband Gene Maddux, both of Tipp City.
Cleo (Momo as she was affectionately known to her 21 grandchildren as well as to her great and great-great-grandchildren) graduated from Jackson High School , Union City , Indiana in 1927 and attended Indiana Business College in Muncie Indiana .
She was a member of the Tipp City United Methodist Church (since 1935), Ruth Circle , Pioneer Circle , Tipp City Women’s Civic Club and numerous other organizations through her years in Tipp City .
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 West Main Street , Tipp City , Ohio . Funeral Services will be held at 9:30a.m. (visitation at 9:00 a.m.) on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Tipp City United Methodist Church , 8 West Main Street , Tipp City , Ohio . Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Tipp City United Methodist Church Memorial Fund. Her family also wishes to acknowledge and thank all of the staff at SpringMeade for their years of loving care.
