Ohio Galaxies FC is looking forward to a competitive season launching it’s first team in the Women’s League Soccer
Ohio Galaxies FC is pleased to announce our WLS roster and match schedule for the summer of 2013. The players selected for the WLS team will compete in the Women’s League Soccer which is comprised of teams in Indiana, Illinois and Ohio. We are excited about the chance to provide area players the opportunity to train and compete at a competitive level while preparing for their fall 2013 season.
The Women’s League Soccer (WLS) is a regional women’s football (soccer) league in the United States that was created in 2010 and will kicked off its first season 2011. The league is in the process of being sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation.
Contrasting significantly from other soccer leagues in the U.S., WLS intends to be an open entry, promotion and relegation competition. The league observes all FIFA standards, rules, player transfer windows and international calendar. The league currently consists of six teams and the season lasts from May to the end of July. The WLS team is comprised of current Ohio Galaxies players or former players that are currently in college. The teams will begin training in mid May and the competitive season will run thru July. The players include:
