Milton-Union Elementary School collected change from friends, family and community members to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Pennies for Patients youth program that took place February 3-23rd.   The money was collected to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. The elementary school raised $5,301.44.  Each class that raised a minimum of $100 earned a pennant that will proudly hang in their classroom.   Nineteen classes raised between $100-$200, seven classes raised between $200-$300 and one class raised over $500.  We are very proud to also acknowledge Jessy White from Mrs. Yanity’s second grade classroom who individually collected over $450.00 during the three weeks.  Jessy is pictured in the center along with classmates.  We are proud of each and every one of our students and families who supported this great cause!
