Joe Gibson, candidate for Tipp City Council was among the speakers at Thursday night’s Member Mixer at the Miami County Home Builders Association.
The annual event focuses on candidates for local office, and allows members to meet personally with them, and discuss issues one-on-one. Each candidate also made individual presentations.
“I am always delighted to work with the Home Builders Association” Gibson said. In his presentation, Gibson stressed the need for local government and businesses to work together. “The local home builders and contractors should work WITH Tipp City, not have to CONTEND with Tipp City. ”
Gibson noted his preference for small government and free markets, and then went on to highlight that he is an experienced businessman (owning three local businesses) and then closed his presentation expounding on his time on the Tipp City Planning Board. Gibson next plans to continue going “door-to-door” and will also attend the “Meet the Candidates” Meeting sponsored by the Tipp Optimists in October.
