TMCS campers at “Ye Olde Camp Roundhouse” had blast learning about camping out. The Miami County Park District introduced the kids to Bobby the turtle and kids learned first- hand about animals they might meet while camping. The American Red Cross came for a visit and gave the children advice on first aid. Additionally, Jon Crusey, Tipp City Manager, jumped right in and read two great stories – one from Dr. Seuss and another one about camping called “Lights Out.”
This program is part of TMCS Summer Vacation at the Park, open to children 4-10 years. Fall programs will be coming your way, so watch for your Community Connection in September. For further information, call TMCS at 937-667-8631 or go to http://www.tmcomservices.org.
