Dr. William Gabel, Past Rotary District 6670 Governor & Tipp City Rotarian, was the speaker for the May 31 meeting. Doc Gabel talked about his experiences when he volunteered for four International Rotary services projects spanning the years from 1981 to 2001. His first trip was to Mexico City, then Thailand, then Nigeria, and finally to Moscow. At each of these locations Doc. Gabel used his Optometrist training to help people with sight problems including: corrective glasses (often donated by Tipp City residents), river blindness, and other issues.
