Lieutenant Colonel Ken Knotts, USMC (Ret.), Senior Naval Science Instructor, spoke to the Tipp City Rotary Club at their May 26 meeting about the Northmont High School’s Navy ROTC Program. He noted that the goal of NJROTC program is to help build patriotic citizens who are mindful of their duty to serve their community and their nation, without the requirement to join the military after high school. The Northmont unit has 8 different varsity-level competition teams, and offers a number of opportunities for cadets to participate in community service as well as numerous chances throughout the year to march in parades and compete in drill competitions all over the nation.
