Hands-On Day of Giving Back to Our Community
March 25, 2010: America In Bloom, Tipp Monroe Community Services, and Tipp City Area United Way are excited to share with you its plans for a hands-on day of giving back to our community on Saturday, April 17!
With these tough economic times, we can all feel good about reaching out and touching the lives of our neighbors while making our community a better place to work and live. Volunteers and projects are still needed. If you are interested in volunteering or if you or someone you know can use some assistance sprucing up their home by planting flowers, cleaning, window washing, painting, mulching, and minor repairs or with public clean-up, please let us know. You may either call Community Services at 669-3631 or email tmcomservices@bizwoh.rr.com or by calling Tipp City Area United Way at 669-3863 or email ahoover@woh.rr.com.
Computers and Technology
We have a coordinated a drop-off for old computers, key boards, monitors, cords, cables, scanners, printers, and etc. Anything that has to do with computers Goodwill will be collecting Saturday, April 17, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Tipp City Plaza, just look for the Goodwill truck parked in front of the shopping plaza.
Large Appliance
During our Tipp Pride Day/Day of Caring, Waste Management will provide pick-up of washers, dryers, freezers, refrigerators, etc. and other Large Item Pick-up. You will need to contact Waste Management ahead of time to arrange for pick-up at 1-866-695-3433. Items that are not called in will not be collected.
Hazardous Waste
Miami County Sanitary Engineering will have a drop-off event for residents to properly dispose their household hazardous waste on Saturday, April 17. Residents are asked to call 440-3488 to register a time between 8:00 AM and noon. This event will be held at Miami County Sanitary Engineering Building located at 2200 North County Road 25A in Troy.
