WEST MILTON – The annual “Perennial Planting Day,” in honor of long-time Milton-Union school employee Linda McAlpin, will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at the  Memory Garden (end of Hamilton Street/East entrance to athletic field).

McAlpin died suddenly of brain cancer four years ago. She was survived by her five now adult children, 94-year-old mother Grandma Bess, and four grandchildren.

McAlpin was an avid supporter of the humane society, did floral and planning for area weddings, and was an artist and natural gardener, aside from her job as a school aide in both special education and the regular classroom.
