Win, Place, Show for a Cure will Honor Breast Cancer Survivors

TIPP CITY, Ohio – The Downtown Tipp City Partnership, along with Harrison’s Restaurant and Urban Ava Boutique present the 3rd annual Win, Place, Show for a Cure Fashion Show and Derby Party on May 1, 2010.  The event will honor breast cancer survivors with all proceeds going to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. This year the event organizers hope to contribute $15,000 to the foundation.

The What a Girl Wants Fashion Show will begin at 12:30 p.m. at Harrison’s Restaurant then move to an outdoor tent on 2nd Street. Guest speakers for the event include survivors Heather Printz Salazar and Diana Walker Featherstone. A special guest will be survivor Ron Coleman, father of OSU football player Kurt Coleman. All guests will enjoy delicious hors d’ouerves, raffle prizes, special gift bags and lots of fun.

The Derby Party will begin at 5 p.m. also in the tent at Harrison’s and will include specialty hors d’ouerves, cocktails, a movie screen to watch the Kentucky Derby, DJ, dance floor and a live auction.

A limited number of tickets are still available and can be purchased at Harrison’s Restaurant located at 106 East Main Street, downtown Tipp City. Each event is $30 to attend or $60 to attend both events.

Win, Place, Show for a Cure is presented by Harrison’s Restaurant, Urban Ava Boutique and the Downtown Tipp City Partnership. Lead event sponsors include Wigro Construction, MBC, the Whited Family, the Wogoman Family and Bud Polley Flooring. Partner sponsors are Becky Baker, Blades & Co., MD Reflexology, Cedar Hill Furniture, Baker Heating & Air, Curves of Tipp City, The Wellington Grille, The Blueberry Café and The Barnsider Restaurant.

The Downtown Tipp City Partnership is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and members of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and Heritage Ohio with the mission to enhance, preserve, and promote downtown Tipp City. The DTCP meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, 9 a.m. at Tipp Monroe Community Services. Meetings are open to the public.
