Tipp City Rotary Club RYLA

The Rotary Club of Tipp City selected Allie Wasson and Leena Vyas of Tippecanoe High School, and Olivia Rust and Racheal Tingley of Bethel High School as delegates to attend the 2017 District 6670 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Camp held April 21-23 at Camp Kern in Oregonia, Ohio.

The students were chosen based on their leadership abilities in school, church, extracurricular, or community activities.  Lori Willoughby, local committee chair, stated that “the Tipp City Rotary Club was among the 52 Rotary Clubs in District 6670 that sponsored high school students who developed leadership potential together at Camp Kern, during a weekend camp designed and headed up by highly trained, experienced leaders representing a wide range of vocations.”

The camp featured outstanding speakers and workshops, focusing on decision making, critical thinking, communicating effectively, public service, problem solving, and career development.
