Senator Bill Beagle spoke at the June 20th, 2012 Tipp City Rotary Club meeting. Senator Beagle’s theme was that the continuing drop in Ohio’s unemployment rate is a sign of an improving economy and the success of policies put forth over the last year and a half that make Ohio more business friendly and cheaper to do business in.
Further, that the General Assembly has passed a substantial amount of legislation over that time period to address a wide variety of Ohio’s problems, and many have passed with bipartisan support. He then discussed legislation he sponsored regarding protecting children from predators, protecting consumers from debt settlement companies, establishing standards for the cleanup of meth labs, and workforce development initiatives to not only get people back to work, but help employers find the people they need to grow.
