Downtown Holiday Lights

City Council is requesting input from the community regarding the continuation of the downtown holiday lighting program. The program includes the lighting of street trees between Fourth Street and First Street, pole mounted decoration between the railroad tracks and First Street, the lighting of the Old Municipal Building, and the lighting of the gazebo at Veteran’s Memorial Park from November through January.

A new contract is currently being reviewed at a cost of $28,207 annually from the Electric Fund. Council is scheduled continue its review during their August 16 pre-meeting study session beginning @ 6:30 p.m.
